Christmas 2009
We let the girls by each other a gift... Hallee bought Lex a basketball hoop and told her it was a pink turtle to fake her out. Well Lexi was highly disappointed when she didn't get a pink turtle!
Hallee on the other hand was so excited with double baby stroller Lexi gave her!

Ready or Not Here we Go!!!!

How your baby's growing: Your new resident is nearly an inch long — about the size of a grape — and weighs just a fraction of an ounce. She's starting to look more and more human. Her essential body parts are accounted for, though they'll go through plenty of fine-tuning in the coming months. Other changes abound: Your baby's heart finishes dividing into four chambers, and the valves start to form — as do her tiny teeth. The embryonic "tail" is completely gone. Your baby's organs, muscles, and nerves are kicking into gear. The external sex organs are there but won't be distinguishable as male or female for another few weeks. Her eyes are fully formed, but her eyelids are fused shut and won't open until 27 weeks. She has tiny earlobes, and her mouth, nose, and nostrils are more distinct. The placenta is developed enough now to take over most of the critical job of producing hormones. Now that your baby's basic physiology is in place, she's poised for rapid weight gain.

Gingerbread Men!
I went to the store last night and ran into these really cute little gingerbread men kits! (I don't know how to make the gingerbread stuff from sctach!) I just had to get them. I am a sucker for any crafts for my kiddos! I new I was busy baking today so I got them. They had a ton of fun and they were so cute.

Thought of the day
So I got this off my friend Carrie's blog who I think got it off of our friend Leah's blog but I loved it so I had to copy it. It's just a little something to think about.
"How do you think of your children? On any given day, would you say your children are a blessing or a burden? Here is a challenge to you…How are you?”…“How is the baby?”…“How are your kids?”… We all hear these questions every day. Do you know a mom who always answers something like this: “Well, I haven’t killed my 2-year-old yet, so I guess that’s good.” Or, “I’m just exhausted,” or, “Things are absolutely crazy – I am so stressed out!”Maybe that frazzled, haggard, bewildered mommy is someone you know. Maybe it’s you. I know I’ve been there. Here is my question to you today… are we bearing our blessings as burdens? Those babies that we dreamt of and prayed for, that we had so much fun choosing names for, that we counted the days to meet… are they burdens to us now? Those homes that we were ecstatic to move into… are they burdens now? That husband that we couldn’t live without, that we picked out the wedding dress for, that we cried and ached and waited by the phone for… is he a burden now? That job you needed, you wanted and prayed for, that provides food and clothing for your family… is it a burden now?Sometimes it seems to me like a mantle we as moms must carry. We must be tired, we must be stressed out; we must be harried and frazzled, we must be lucky just to make it through the day. Are we bearing our blessings as burdens? Are we tired? Absolutely. As moms, we know about the 2 a.m. feedings, the nightmares, the wet beds, the midnight curfews. Do things get a little stressful between PTA meetings, dance class, the T-ball game, and dinner on the table at 6? Sure they do. Are husbands always a joy when they get home from work? No way. Is scrubbing the potty, doing the laundry, and cleaning the high chair tray the greatest thrill we’ve ever known? Of course not.So how do we look past the burdens and see the blessings of our families and our homes? Do you know any women who would give anything to have a baby to nurse at 2 a.m.? Anyone who would love to have those clothes we are sick of washing, or that house we just can’t keep clean. Do you know any women whose husbands aren’t coming home?I challenge you to joy, to smile, to persevere. I challenge you to bear your burdens as blessings and watch as they multiply. And the next time someone asks you how you are, throw off that identity of stressed out, frazzled mommy, find your smile and answer, “I am blessed!”

Disney on ice!
Project Monday (alittle early)
I had to do project Monday a little early since I have to work tomorrow to have a long break for Thanksgiving! I decided to do homemade bath paints. It was quick and easy plus mess free!!! Lex loved it and Hallee thought they didn't work the best, but I thought they were fun! I also didn't post last weeks since the week got away from me! We made Turkeys and then did a count down to Thanksgiving with the tails. I have a clue for each tail until Thanksgiving. When they figure out the clue they get a snack! Well here is the pictures and directions to the bath paints:

Make A Splash With Bath Paints
This is a fun activity that you can do start to finish with your child. They will like making the paint, mixing the colors and love using it in the bath.
1. Gather your materials. You will need cornstarch, dish detergent , food coloring, a spoon, 1/4 cup measuring cup and containers with lids.
2. Start by putting 2 tablespoons of cornstarch into a container.
3. Add in 1/4 cup of bodywah / detergent. Mix.
4. I made a second batch and we divided it into 3 containers. Judge for yourself how much paint you will need.
5. Add in food color. Mix.
6. Make as many colors as you wish.
7. Get in the bath!

(I Don't think the girls liked today as much as last week!) We put them in the freezer for about 30 min and popped them out and walla new crayons! I also had my little nephew for a few days so he was enjoying himself too!
So exciting watching the crayons melt
