I'm still editing the others but here are a few of the family pictures we did. It was fun. We just went by a friend of Keith's barn and had my mom snap some pictures and then keith and I took the ones of the leaves.
I usually hate decorating pumpkins but this year I enjoyed it! NO Carving! It was great. My sister told me about these kits at Walmart that are just like Mr. Potato Head and they are amazing! The girls had a blast. Plus there was no huge mess to clean up afterwards! Such a great Family home evening!
Of course for project Monday today we painted pumpkins! The girls had a blast and I enjoyed it since there was no effort required! They are enjoying project monday and look forward to it!
Hallee decided that she is Taylor Swifts biggest fan and just had to have her hair curly! So I did a perm on her. She loves it! She walks with a bounce now just so her hair will bounce up and down! She's so funny!
I am going to start doing project Monday's with my girls. It doesn't have to be anything too major just something for me and the girls. They just seem like they are growing up too fast and I don't want to get too "busy" and then turn around and there they are all grown. So this is my new goal. I usually do quite a bit of stuff with them, but this way it'll force me to get creative and just have fun! Today we did just homemade play dough. Then we took Halloween cookie cutters and had a good old time! I got this recipe from one of my friends. It uses koolaid so it smells good! Here's the recipe 1 1/2 T.veg oil 1 Pkg. Koolaid 1c. boiling water Food coloring Mix all this together and then add: 1/4c. salt 1 1/4 c. flour ( I used a little more than that) The more flour the more stiffer it will be
My girls found my old manicure hands from school. They just had to play with them. So we got out all my old colors and away they went. Taking after their mommy!
Merry Christmas! Ok my girls haven't enjoyed the outside much of the summer. Hallee was afraid of bugs and Lexi does whatever sissy does. I kept telling them you'll hate it when it starts snowing and it's too cold to go outside. So when it started snowing and the girls started begging to go outside I just gave in. Then I started them a nice warm bubble bath with some warm hot chocolate!
Here is what my house looks like when I get done working (well not always but most of the time!!) The joys of working from your home!! You seriously would think I was raising a whole ton of kiddos. No really I just have two little sweet sweet girls. But even with this big of mess I wouldn't trade it for anything! I am grateful I have a job where I can be a full time mom too!
Hallee decided she wanted to start piano lessons. So I decided it was time to get my butt in gear and re-do my piano keys. This was project I knew would take me forever. You first have to take apart the whole piano. (Thanks Keith and Dad!) Then you have to take out each individual key and scrape all the old ivory off. ( That part was the hardest) Then you sand it and pvc glue on a new plastic keytop. Repeat 52 times! Thank goodness 1/4 of the way thru hunting season ended so that Keith could help me! He was so fast and I was so slow! It looks like a whole new piano now and Hallee is on her 2nd week of piano! She's doing so good!! I am so glad she wants to. It's one of my talents that I am so glad that I have. It comes in very handy at times.
